Historical and contemporary sociopolitical conditions facilitating the rise of environmental justice movements domestically and abroad. Race and Environmental Racism. Industrial and waste siting, land grabs, water crisis, climate justice, food sovereignty. Environmental justice activism including logic models and theories of change, participatory community research, economic viability and democracy.
