Introductory mathematics, including calculus and multivariable calculus; experience with linear algebra recommended; Introductory physics, including classical mechanics and optics; Introductory geology.
Modern geodetic methods including the Global Positioning System, measuring steady or time-variable motions, the physical models that are used to interpret these observations, and applications to active geological processes, the cryosphere, and hydrology.
