Description
Modeling mass transport and phase transformation at meso and microscales. Learn how the thermodynamics and kinetics lead to the formation of dendritic, eutectic, spinodal decomposed, and other microstructures from both theory and simulations. A variety of methods, such as Monte Carlo, particle dynamics, phase field model, and several numerical methods, will be explored in the course.
